Hybrid Backstepping-Super Twisting Algorithm for Robust Speed Control of a Three-Phase Induction Motor

This paper proposes a Hybrid Backstepping Super Twisting Algorithm for robust speed control of three-phase Induction Motor in the presence load torque uncertainties. First all, squirrel cage is modeled MATLAB/Simulink. then followed by design different non-linear controllers, such as sliding mode (SMC), super twisting SMC, and backstepping control. Furthermore, novel controller designed synergy two methods, SMC (Back-STC), to obtain benefits both techniques and, thereby, improve robustness. The sigmoid function used with an exact differentiator minimize high-speed discontinuities present input channel. efficacy this its performance were evidenced comparison other carried out simulations Regression parameters, ISE (Integral Square error), IAE Absolute error) ITAE Time calculated three modes operation: SSM (Start-Stop Mode), NOM (Normal Operation Mode) DRM (Disturbance Rejection Mode). In end, numerical values regression parameters quantitatively analyzed draw conclusions regarding tracking robustness implemented techniques.
